Internal-combustion engines have closed lubrication system, where the oil circulates and lubricates and cools working parts. Besides this, oil washes out all possible contaminations, which penetrates from combustion chamber and which are formed during friction of moving parts. Such contaminations are effectively trapped by oil filters, which are the integral part of the lubricating system of internal-combustion engine. Oil filters have different design depending on the engine and lubricating system types.
